Christian Standhardinger stands tall in first practice with SEAG-bound Gilas team

FIL-GERMAN Christian Standhardinger was finally introduced to the the rest of the Gilas Pilipinas pool on Wednesday afternoon at the Meralco Gym.

Standhardinger arrived late Tuesday from Germany, but jetlag was not an issue as he joined 14 others in his first practice with the national team. 

Listed at somewhere between 6-7 and 6-9, Standhardinger stood out the tallest in the session also graced by Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas president Al Panlilio.

Panlilio stayed briefly inside the venue to greet the Gilas new boy.

The 27-year-old cager, who is playing in the second division of Basketball Bundesliga, will don the national team colors in the Southeast Asian Games.

Also in attendance were Kobe Paras, Kiefer Ravena, Bobby Ray Parks, Mike Myers, Kevin Ferrer, Jio Jalalon, Fonzo Gotladera, Matthew Wright, Von Pessumal, Carl Cruz, Mike Tolomia, Ed Daquioag, Raymar Jose, and Mac Belo.

Belo participated in the drills for the first time in a long while.
