JUNE Mar Fajardo indeed has plenty of hidden talent outside basketball.

After showing off his dance moves in the highlight of Gilas Pilipinas’ dance-off against the Mindanao All-Stars in Cagayan de Oro two weeks ago, the PBA star displayed his rapping skills in the team’s number during the welcome dinner for the Southeast Asia Basketball Association (Seaba) Championship teams on Thursday night.

The reigning PBA MVP of San Miguel Beer recited an excerpt from Tribal Seeds “Vampire” that lasted half a minute and rocked the crowd.

“Since birth, marunong na ako mag-rap. Joke lang,” Fajardo said. “Nakita ko lang sa YouTube.”

While he looked at ease rapping, the 6-foot-10 slotman is feeling a few other emotions on the eve of Gilas’ opener against Myanmar at 7 p.m.

“Kinakabahan, at the same time, excited, kasi nga mag-start na kami bukas,” Fajardo said.

“Pagdasal niyo kami na healthy kami lagi,” he added. “Iwas kami sa injuries sa competition na ‘to para makapag-compete kami ng maayos. Kita tayo sa Araneta.”
