IT is still uncertain if he’ll make the final lineup, but Andre Paras is simply grateful to be part of the pool of players representing the Philippines in the Fiba Asia Champions Cup in Chenzhou, China.

Paras has been listed as a reserve for the Chooks-To-Go Pilipinas team and will make the team if travel documents for American reinforcement Isaiah Austin and Congolese Rod Ebondo are not completed before the tournament.

"I feel really thankful because they accepted me to be part of the team," said Paras during the team sendoff at Discovery Suites.

The eldest son of PBA Legend Benjie Paras has been training with the team since Day One without expecting to make the cut.

"If anything happens, hopefully not, I'll be ready. I'm ready to give my full commitment to the team."

Paras noted lessons gained under Coach Chot and his staff are more than enough.

"Nung first day sabi ni coach (Chot Reyes) they guarantee that we'll learn a lot and become better. I feel I became better, I learned a lot from the players and coaches," he said.

"If ever you see excel in other leagues, I can look back na galing dito yung confidence ko."
