SAMAHANG Basketbol ng Pilipinas president Manny V. Pangilinan issued an apology after the country's national federation for the sport fell short in the bid to host the 2019 Fiba Basketball World Cup.

Pangilinan made his feelings known in his Twitter account @iamMVP on Saturday.

“I'm truly saddened and sorry in coming short of delivering the 2019 Fiba World Cup to our people. We gave it our all, and our best,” wrote Pangilinan.
