BOCAUE — For steering their respective teams to the gold medal, Dusan Bulut and Rae Lin D’Alie were named the tournament MVPs at the close of the 2018 Fiba 3x3 World Cup on Tuesday at Philippine Arena.
Bulut reaffirmed his status as one of the world's top 3x3 players, capping Serbia’s three-peat campaign with his finest performance yet by dropping seven points in a 16-13 victory over Netherlands in the men’s final.
He ended up as the tournament’s fourth-best scorer with 48 points in leading the Serbians to their fourth title in five years.
D’Alie, meanwhile, showed that she’s tougher than she looks as her magnificent playmaking carried Italy to a 16-12 conquest over Russia in the women’s Finals.
The diminutive Italian guard's 52 points made her the tourney’s best scorer.
Jesper Jobse of Netherlands and Michael Hicks of Poland joined Bulut in the men’s All-Tournament Team, while Anna Leshkovtseva of Russia and Jiang Jiayin of China completed the women’s mythical squad.
