MATTHEW Wright was the newest addition to the Gilas Pilipinas pool as the Phoenix shooter attended the early Thursday evening session at Meralco Gym.
The Fil-Canadian sniper made his return to the national team pool after being left out in the sixth window of the 2019 Fiba World Cup Asian qualifiers.
Wright averaged 5.9 points on a 32-percent shooting from deep, to go with 1.3 rebounds and 1.4 assists as he played four windows for the Philippines.
He joined leaders June Mar Fajardo and Gabe Norwood, as well as Paul Lee, Japeth Aguilar, Troy Rosario, Raymond Almazan, Kiefer Ravena, and CJ Perez in the session. Marcio Lassiter also caught up in practice.
Also present were Stanley Pringle and Beau Belga, who are acting as warm bodies for Gilas Pilipinas' buildup for the World Cup this August in China.
