IN the mind of Marcus Douthit, Chris McCullough should be naturalized to play for Gilas Pilipinas.
Douthit made his thoughts known through Twitter as he strongly suggested that McCullough play for Gilas Pilipinas in international competitions.
"Chris McCullough should be the next naturalized big to carry Gilas!! My thoughts!!" wrote Douthit, without elaborating.
Douthit was the first naturalized player during the Gilas program before being replaced by Andray Blatche for the 2014 Fiba World Cup.
McCullough, who had expressed his willingness to play for the Philippines while he was with San Miguel during the PBA Commissioner's Cup, was grateful for the endorsement from Douthit.
Douthit, though, was still able to play for Gilas during the 2014 Asian Games and the 2015 Southeast Asian Games.
