MEMBERS of the Gilas Pilipinas team got stuck in the elevator of the hotel they were staying in at Qatar for the 2nd Doha International Cup.
What appeared to be an overloaded lift that carried some of the finest players in Philippine basketball suddenly came to a stop with eight-time PBA MVP June Mar Fajardo, two-time UAAP MVP Kevin Quiambao, CJ Perez, Calvin Oftana, AJ Edu, Mason Amos, and Dwight Ramos trapped inside.
The incident was posted by Fajardo and Oftana in their social media platforms.

The seven Gilas players made light of the tense situation that ended when an elevator technician came to pull them out one by one.
“Na-survive na,” said Fajardo in his video posted on his Ahosgaming page.
“Nahulog ang elevator,” added the 35-year-old Cebuano, who was seen holding a cup of coffee while making his way out of the lift.

“Are we going to take the elevator or are we taking on the stairs,” said one of the players in the background as they walked their way in the hotel lobby.
The national team later beat Qatar early Friday in the first of three friendlies in the 2nd Doha International Cup, with succeeding matches against Lebanon and Egypt.
