ANGOLA has arrived in Manila for the 2023 Fiba Basketball World Cup.
The Angolan team led by Atlanta Hawks player Bruno Fernando touched down at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport on early Saturday night from Tokyo where they had a preparation game against France.
Angola is the first Gilas Pilipinas opponent to arrive in the country for the World Cup. They will battle the host team on August 27 at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.

Angola held most of its tune-up matches in Asia after it also played three games in Amman, Jordan where they went up against Mexico, Jordan, and Portugal.
The African team has only won once in their listed tune-up matches, beating Venezuela, 66-61, last July 29 in Spain.
