FIL-NIGERIAN AJ Edu should be having one of the best weekends of his life as he joined the top teen prospects in the world in the Basketball Without Borders Global Camp slated to be held from February 16-18 in Los Angeles.
The England-based Edu is one of 43 prospects from 36 countries brought in from all over the world for the three-day showcase that will be held at the Los Angeles Lakers' training facility and will coincide with the festivities of the NBA All-Star Weekend.
The 6-foot-10 teenager, who was recently named by Chot Reyes to his 23 for 2023 Gilas pool, will be measured, go through athletic testing, practice, scrimmage and drills while representatives of all 30 NBA teams watch from the sidelines.
Sekou Doumbouya (France) and Luka Samanic of Samanic head the participants which will be handled by a team of NBA coaches that include John Bryant (76ers), Ed Pinckney (Timberwolves), and Will Scott (Lakers) as well as former NBA head coach P.J. Carlesimo.
Both are projected to be among the top 10 picks in the 2019 NBA Rookie Draft.
