LESTER Prosper and Brandon Jawato lead the lean 12-man pool Indonesia is bringing to the third window of the 2021 Fiba Asia Cup qualifiers in Qatar.
Perbasi, the Indonesian national basketball federation, announced its pool which will compete from Feb. 18 to 22 inside the Doha bubble.
Just like in the second window, coach Rajko Toroman will lean on his naturalized player Prosper and the Indonesian-American forward Jawato to make a strong impression in this final series of games.
Indonesia is already qualified for the 2021 Fiba Asia Cup as hosts, which is set on Aug. 16 to 28 this year.
Making his seniors debut is 17-year-old Derrick Michael Xzavierro, who is currently with the NBA Global Academy.
Veterans Arki Wisnu, Abraham Grahita, Hardianus Lakunu, Andakara Dhyaksa, and Kevin Sitorus remain with the Indonesian roster, which has been training together since the end of the November window.
Called up for this series of games were Muhamad Sandy Ibrahim Aziz, Govinda Julian Saputra, Agassi Yeshe Goantara, and Widyanta Putra Teja.
Indonesia holds a 1-2 win-loss record in the qualifiers, with its lone win coming against Thailand, 90-76 last Nov. 28.
The Garuda are preparing for Korea on Feb. 19, Philippines on Feb. 20, and Thailand anew on Feb. 22 for this said window.
