    LeBron James skipping Fiba World Cup as Space Jam 2 production begins

    LEBRON James focusing on commitments outside competitive basketball after a frustrating first season with the Lakers, and the NBA star has ruled out seeing action for Team USA in Fiba World Cup.

    "I love everything about Pop, obviously," James told Joe Vardon of The Athletic.

    "But this is not a good summer for me."

    James’ summer will still involve basketball, though, with his own SpringHill Entertainment set to start production for Space Jam 2.

    He could be back with Team USA way before the scheduled release of Space Jam 2 in 2021.

      Twice an Olympic champion, LeBron hinted he could go for a third gold in the 2020 Tokyo Games.

      "Yeah, that's a possibility. It depends on how I feel. I love the Olympics."

      This year is the first since 2005 that LeBron is not seeing action in the playoffs.

      The Lakers are 35-42 with five games remaining and LeBron has been shut down for the season.
