LA TENORIO got reunited with Jimmy Alapag in Sacramento on Friday (Saturday Manila time) just before the Kings’ game against the Los Angeles Clippers.
The NBA Philippines Facebook page posted a photo of the two former Gilas Pilipinas players at the Golden1 Center, the homecourt of the Kings, where Alapag is currently one of the members of the coaching staff.
Tenorio made the trip before Barangay Ginebra returns to action in the Philippine Cup. He also met with Alapag for the first time after being appointed as head coach of Gilas Pilipinas Youth.
Don't be surprised if part of their conversation included the coaching aspect of the game.
Tenorio will soon plunge into action not only with the Gin Kings as player, but also with the national youth team as shot-caller with the Philippines set to host the FIBA U16 Asian Cup SEABA qualifiers to be held from May 24 to 30.
Alapag has been with the Kings organization since August 2023.
