Wait over as Ravena finally plays first game in over a year in Gilas tuneup

KIEFER Ravena played his first organized basketball game in 15 months in Gilas Pilipinas' tuneup game against Adelaide 36ers on Sunday.

The 25-year-old guard, fresh from the expiration of his Fiba-imposed 18-month suspension, checked in at the 3:15 mark of the first quarter, replacing CJ Perez.

Ravena had his first taste of the action as he shared the court with Andray Blatche, Gabe Norwood, Mark Barroca, and Raymond Almazan.

He is vying for a spot in the national team's lineup for the 2019 Fiba World Cup in China next weekend.

This is the Philippines' last exhibition game, with the squad set to fly for Foshan on Thursday morning.
