KEVIN Ferrer is not being too hard on himself after failing to make the Gilas roster for the Seaba Cup next month, vowing to work hard and be ready for the next chance to represent the country.
Yun yung pag-prapraktisan ko pa, yung mga kulang ko," he said on the heels of Gilas coach Chot Reyes' announcement of the "Seaba 12" on Friday.
Beaming with optimism, Ferrer is confident he will have another chance to represent the country in other international tournaments.
The Ginebra rookie was among the three "toughest cuts" according to Reyes, and he considers it an honor.
Now the young forward is focusing on Ginebra’s campaign in the PBA Commissioner's Cup, feeling the need to step up in the absence of Japeth Aguilar, who playing in the Seaba.
Ferrer added he is willing to help Gilas in its preparations for the May 12 to 18 tournament.
"Depende pag yayain pa ako nila coach (mag-practice) pero magfo-focus muna ko sa Ginebra, lalong lalo na wala si Japeth sa amin," he said.
