KAI SOTTO will be reporting for Gilas Pilipinas practice starting Monday.
Sotto confirmed this with some members of the media in an ambush interview on Sunday as he took time out to watch the PVL games at the PhilSports Arena.

“Bukas, may training bukas, punta ako bukas,” said the 7-foot-3 slotman, who watched the bronze-medal game between F2 Logistics and Cignal with sister Erin Sotto.
Sotto bared he’s eager to suit up for the national team once again but is only waiting for his back injury to completely heal.

“Always excited. Ako naman, hinihintay ko lang talaga na mag-heal ang likod ko dahil gusto ko ng 100-percent pagdating sa games.”
Less than a week in the country, Sotto, who arrived on Tuesday, also shared that he’s in constant communication with Gilas management.
“Sabi ko magpa-practice ako kahit may iniinda pa rin ako sa likod. At least, I’ll still be there and gawin kung ano ang makakaya ko,” he said.
Sotto, though, is still uncertain if he'll join Gilas in its participation in a China pocket tournament. The team leaves for the mainland on Tuesday morning.
