The ACL tear is the biggest injury setback so far for the 22-year old, who was enjoying a breakout season in the Japan B.League with the Koshigaya Alphas.
Sotto has posted 13.8 points on 52-percent shooting, on top of 9.6 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.1 blocks before hurting his knee in a non-contact spin during Sunday's game against SeaHorses Mikawa.
Despite the tough break, Sotto expressed his gratitude to his fans who expressed concern on his condition in the past few days.
"I appreciate all the love and support everyone has given me these past few days. I know God has a better plan for me and we just have to keep going."
