THERE was no Kai Sotto sighting in the country on Tuesday.
The 7-foot-3 center was supposed to arrive in the Philippines on July 18, but coach Chot Reyes said he heard that Sotto will be coming over on Thursday instead.

"The last we heard Thursday naman daw ang dating. Thursday morning," said coach Chot Reyes after the national team's practice on Tuesday at the Meralco gym
"Like I said unless he's here, he'll be here when he'll be here."
Only Sotto and NBA star Jordan Clarkson out of the 20-man Gilas pool have yet to show up in practice with just over a month left before the FIBA World Cup.
But Reyes bared to SEAG Network that upon arriving, the 21-year-old will see a specialist to check on the back injury he sustained in the NBA Summer League during the Orlando Magic's last game against the Boston Celtics.
"He'll go straight to a specialist, titignan kung ano yung status ng kanyang likod," said the Gilas mentor.
"But other than that, I think the injury woes are subsiding."
