KAI Sotto has taken his first step in his quest to be the first homegrown Filipino player in the NBA as he arrived in a US training facility late Tuesday night (Manila time).
The 16-year old UAAP Season 81 Juniors MVP left the country on Monday together with his father Ervin to begin training at a top Atlanta facility.
The 7-foot-2 prodigy posted on his Instagram story the front of the Emory Sports Medicine Complex, the practice facility of the Atlanta Hawks, where he will to begin his intensive training in hopes of further honing his basketball skills.
Sotto is expected to announce the European ballclub he'll sign with at the end of this two-month training program in Atlanta.
Spanish teams Barcelona, Real Madrid, Baskonia, and Estudiantes, as well as German club ALBA Berlin are intent on signing the prodigious teenager.
