RJ ABARRIENTOS and Justin Arana did not make the final 12 of Gilas Pilipinas against Jordan on Friday in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 Asian qualifiers, according to a source.
Kai Sotto, Dwight Ramos, AJ Edu, June Mar Fajardo, Scottie Thompson, Juan Gomez de Liano, Kevin Quiambao, Chris Newsome, Carl Tamayo, Cjay Perez, Justine Baltazar, and Troy Rosario comprise the lineup for Friday’s crucial game at the Mall of Asia Arena where the Philippines looks to improve on its 2-4 record.
Justin Brownlee will officially not play, with the naturalized player not part of the final 12.
The Filipinos will generally go bigger for the game vs. Jordan, which enters the contest with a 5-1 slate, looking to get closer to a World Cup spot with a win.
The biggest news in the lead-up to the fourth window is the return of Sotto, who will suit up for Gilas for the first time since November 11, 2024 during a FIBA Asia Cup 2025 qualifiers game against Hong Kong.
