Brownlee made his oath before Sen. Francis Tolentino, days after President Marcos Jr. signed into law the bill granting him Filipino citizenship.

The Ginebra import was just hours removed from celebrating the Commissioner’s Cup title after the Gin Kings defeated Bay Area, 114-99, in Game Seven at the Philippine Arena.

During the simple rites, Senators JV Ejercito and Bong Go handed Republic Act 11937, the law granting Brownlee Filipino citizenship, to the Ginebra import.
