NLEX players extended a helping hand to Gilas Pilipinas in its practice session on Wednesday morning at Meralco Gym.
Asi Taulava, JR Quinahan and Jericho Cruz led the Road Warriors delegation who aided the national team in the third day of its daily practices.
They reunited with fellow NLEX players Kiefer Ravena and JP Erram, as well as national team members Mark Barroca, Paul Lee, Raymond Almazan, Matthew Wright, CJ Perez, Robert Bolick, and naturalized player Andray Blatche.
Missing the session were Ginebra's Japeth Aguilar and Stanley Pringle and TNT's Roger Pogoy and Troy Rosario, who played in Tuesday night’s grueling Game Three in the 2019 PBA Commissioner's Cup semifinals.
Also absent were San Miguel's June Mar Fajardo, Christian Standhardiger, and the injured Marcio Lassiter, as well as Rain or Shine's Gabe Norwood and Beau Belga, who are all preparing for Wednesday's Game Three in their own semifinal series.
Gilas Pilipinas is set to hold its daily practices until Saturday before the national team leaves for Spain for a pocket tournament against Congo, Cote d'Ivoire and hosts Spain.
The Philippines is placed in Group D together with Serbia, Italy, and Angola.
