GILAS Pilipinas is sticking to the 12-man roster that played against Japan as it caps off the first window of the Fiba World Cup qualifiers against Chinese Taipei on Monday night at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.
Focus will be on Jayson Castro again when the Filipino cagers host the Taiwanese at 7:30 p.m.
"The team that will play against Chinese-Taipei is the same that played versus Japan," team manager Butch Antonio said.
"We’re upbeat," he added.
Also in the squad are Andray Blatche, Kiefer Ravena, Gabe Norwood, Kevin Alas, Calvin Abueva, Junemar Fajardo, Roger Pogoy, Troy Rosario, Allein Maliksi, Japeth Aguilar and Matthew Wright.
"Players and coaches know we still have things to work on. Players accept the fact that this is a long hard journey. It will not be easy."
Raymond Almazan, nursing an ankle injury, Mac Belo and Carl Bryan Cruz remain on the reserve list.
