ITALY maintained its top form, beating Puerto Rico, 98-65, in a tune-up game in Ravenna, Italy.

Utah Jazz forward Simone Fontecchio and Alba Berlin guard Gabriele Procida had 16 points apiece as the Azzurri won their fifth game in as many outings in their official tune-up games for the Fiba Basketball World Cup.

The match also served as a tribute to longtime Italy player Luigi Datome, who announced his retirement from professional basketball last month.

The Azzurri will head over to Shenzhen where they will play against Brazil and China in the Fiba Solidarity Cup before leaving for Manila for the Fiba Basketball World Cup.
