THE Philippine team bound for the Fiba Asia Champions Cup finally bared its official 12-man lineup on Tuesday, with Gilas Pilipinas naturalized player prospect Isaiah Austin included even as coach Chot Reyes revealed visa problems for the Baylor standout was causing the delay in forming the roster.
Another import in Rod Ebondo also hounded with visa issues was named to the Chooks-to-Go bannered team, composed of amateur standouts and some pro cagers.
Leading the local crew are Kiefer Ravena, Alaska forward Carl Bryan Cruz, Raymar Jose, Jeron Teng, Jeric Teng, Almond Vosotros, Jett Manuel, Kia point guard LA Revilla, TNT big man Norbert Torres, and Alfrancis Tamsi.
It also marks the first time the Teng brothers will play alongside each other since their high school days at Xavier.
"Super excited ako. Thankful na nabigyan kami ng chance to play in one team," said the former King Archer during the team's send off lunch in Discovery Suites.
Gab Banal and Andre Paras will join the team as reserves in case Austin and Ebondo don't get cleared. The team is expecting the visa issues to be resolved Wednesday or Thursday.
The Champions Cup in Chenzhou, China kicks off Friday.
