WITH the 2023 Fiba Basketball World Cup set to tip off in nine days' time, excitement levels for Filipino hoops fans are at an all-time high.
Starting August 25, four groups will kick off the global showpiece's preliminary stage in Manila.
Group A, which features our very own Gilas Pilipinas, and Group B take center stage at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
For the host nation, however, Group A's opening day matches (Angola-Italy and Philippines-Dominican Republic) will be played in front of a 55,000-strong crowd at the Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan.
Meanwhile, the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City will host the prelims games of Team USA's Group C and Group D.

Ticketnet (for opening ceremony, Araneta games)
Tickets for Gilas' tournament opener at the Philippine Arena and the rest of their preliminary matches at the Big Dome may be purchased on-site at 15 Ticketnet outlets across Metro Manila.
These include SM malls in Aura, Fairview, Makati, Manila, North EDSA, Megamall, San Lazaro, South Mall, Mall of Asia, and Marikina.
Tickets are also available at Fishermall, Eastwood Mall, Robinsons Galleria, and at the Ticketnet Box Office.
Online ticket selling may also be accessed through the official Ticketnet site at ticketnet.com.ph.
SM Tickets (for MOA Arena games)
There are 22 SM malls nationwide where fans can buy their tickets not only for Group C and D's preliminary matches but also for the entire playoff round at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Fans may visit SM Cinemas' ticket outlets in Aura, Bacolod, Baguio, Batangas, BF Homes, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Clark, Davao, Fairview, Grand Central, Iloilo, Lanang, Manila, Megamall, North EDSA, Podium, and Southmall.
Other options include select SM Store booths in Cubao and Makati, the Mall of Asia Arena's Coral Box Office, and at the Mall of Asia's SM Store, Skating Outlet, and Cinema Outlet.
SM Tickets' official site at smtickets.com has also opened ticket selling for the global showpiece.
