ENCHO Serrano of the Philippines settled for a silver medal in the dunk contest of the 2017 Fiba 3x3 Under-18 World Cup on Sunday in Chengdu, China.

Serrano, the smallest contestant at 5-foot-11, lost to Vincent Peeters of Belgium in the final after the two made it to the championship round.

The incoming National University Bulldog made the top four of the qualifying round by scoring 48 points, joining Peeters (54), Haonan Li of China (48), and Matej Susec of Slovenia (45) in the semifinals.

Serrano clinched a finals berth against Peeters through the tiebreaker against Susec when he converted a 360-degree two-hand slam.

But Peeters just had a lot of tricks up his sleeve, highlighted by a slam over a Belgium teammate in one of his three dunks in the final.

Serrano struggled in the final, even attempting to execute a Jammer Jamito-like dunk when he side-stepped past teammate AJ Edu before missing the dunk try.
