Pinays need to beat Kazakhstan
But the Filipina cagebelles still need to beat Kazakhstan in their final assignment on Thursday to advance to the preliminary draw.

Only the top team in each group will advance to the main draw.
Should it qualify, Gilas will end up in Pool C.
Already seeded in the preliminary are China, Singapore, Chinese Taipei (Pool A), Japan and Thailand (Pool B), Mongolia and Malaysia (Pool C), and defending champion Australia and New Zealand (Pool D).
Last year, Gilas women’s advanced in the knockout round, but lost to New Zealand, 17-10.
Afril Bernardino, Janine Pontejos, Clare Castro, and Khate Castillo comprised the team a year ago.
