GILAS Pilipinas fans in the Philippines will be able to watch the quarterfinals of the FIBA Asia Cup 2025 on Wednesday at an earlier time, and better yet, on a primetime slot.
The clash between Gilas and Australia has been scheduled by organizers as an afternoon game in Jeddah on Wednesday, 2 p.m. local time, or Wednesday, 7 p.m. Philippine time.

This comes as welcome news to the team's sleep-deprived fans after Gilas defeated hosts Saudi Arabia in overtime, 95-88, in a knockout match that ended in the wee hours of Tuesday morning, Philippine time.
Meanwhile, the other quarterfinal game of the day between Chinese Taipei and Iran will be the primetime game in Jeddah on Wednesday, 7 p.m. or Thursday, 12 midnight Philippine time.
By now, Gilas is already used to playing the early game after its match-up against Iraq in the group stage was played at 11 a.m. local time.
Prior to that, Gilas fans have been staying up late to watch the games against Chinese Taipei and New Zealand in the group stage.

Despite being an afternoon game in Jeddah, Filipino fans are still expected to troop to the King Abdullah Sports City with the high-stakes match-up between Gilas and the Boomers, who are seeking a third straight FIBA Asia Cup crown.
More Filipinos in the Philippines are also expected to watch it live on TV or online platforms with the timeslot.
