WINLESS teams in the Fiba Basketball World Cup 2019 are looking to avoid the cellar in their matches in the next two days.
Seven teams including Gilas Pilipinas are still without a victory in the competition heading into the final days of the classification round for 17th and 32nd teams, all looking to avoid last place in the standings.
Other winless teams will clash in Ivory Coast against Korea in Group M on Sunday, Japan against Montenegro in Group O on Monday, and Jordan against Senegal in Group P on Monday. On Sunday, Gilas Pilipinas, meanwhile, takes on Iran, which has a 1-3 win-loss record.

With the schedule, at least three teams will end up winless in the competition, which gives the Philippines a chance to avoid last place with a win over Iran on Sunday night. In case of ties, the point differential in all their matches will break the ties to determine the rankings.
At the moment, Jordan has the worst point differential against all the winless teams with a -132 following their lopsided 126-71 loss to Canada on Saturday in a game that saw their opponents hit 24 three-pointers.
Gilas Pilipinas, meanwhile, has the second worst point differential in the tournament after a 19-point defeat against Tunisia.

Japan is next with a -115 after a 111-81 defeat against New Zealand on Saturday, Senegal with -100, Korea -86, Ivory Coast -65, and Montenegro -51.
If teams including Gilas Pilipinas don’t want to end the World Cup in last place, they should either win their final matches or not lose by a wide margin.
