GILAS Pilipinas Youth is all set to go to war in the FIBA U16 Asia Cup SEABA Qualifiers after naming its Final 12 ahead of Saturday’s opener at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center in San Fernando, Pampanga.
UAAP Season 87 junior high school Mythical Five awardees Andwele Cabanero of UST and Jhustin Hallare of University of the Philippines Integrated School, and Finals MVP Gab Delos Reyes of University of the East lead the final roster.

Also making it are Chris Paul Miranda of Far Eastern University-Diliman, Ethan Tan-Chi of Faith Academy, Everaigne Cruz of San Sebastian, Jeremiah Antolin of St. Augustine Institute-Pampanga, Jhello Lumague of Letran, John Restificar of Perpetual Help-Dalta, Jolo Pascual of UE, Prince Carino of Far Eastern University-Diliman, and Travis Pascual of Santolan High School.
The 12 players were part of the 18-man 'Batang Gilas' pool that was initially announced.

Those who missed the cut are Clark Khobuntin of National University, Brian Orca of UE, Sacred Godwyn Toring of NU, Samuel Esomchi of La Salle Greenhills, and Rajver Sidhu of Lyceum.
The Philippines coached by LA Tenorio opens the SEABA competition on Saturday against Vietnam, before going up against Thailand on Sunday. The host then takes on Singapore on Monday, Indonesia on Wednesday, and Malaysia on Thursday.
All matches of Gilas Youth will start at 7 p.m. The final is set for Friday.
