THE Gilas Pilipinas Under-18 Women's 3x3 team bowed to a taller and fancier France side, 22-2, to start its 2019 Fiba 3x3 Under-18 World Cup campaign Monday in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
Lisa Soline Rebecca Dufon powered the French with eight points as they pulled away with a 9-2 start before blanking the Filipinas the rest of the way.
N`Dye Mayé Touré and Mariama Daramy both had six, as Axelle Mikorek Joby Fuentes had two for France, which ended the game with 39 seconds left on the clock.
Camille Clarin and Ella Fajardo scored the two points for the Filipinas.
The Philippines goes back to action at 6:40 p.m. when it takes on hosts Mongolia.
