GILAS Pilipinas slipped to No. 39 in the FIBA Men Ranking after the third window of the Basketball World Cup Qualifiers last July.
The Philippines dropped three places following the results of the window where it lost to New Zealand in overtime, 106-102, and Australia, 92-49.

Gilas is seventh in the Asian zone that is led by Australia, which is at No. 7 in the world rankings yet fell one place despite wins in the last window against Guam and Gilas.
Fortunately for Gilas, it was nota mong the biggest droppers that included Kuwait (from No. 109 to No. 118) and South Africa (from No. 110 to No. 119).
Gilas Pilipinas’ next change to improve its world rankings will come in the August window where they will play against Jordan on the 28th and Iran on the 30th.
