No let-up for Gilas as Chot Reyes wraps up third straight two-a-day practice

GILAS Pilipinas kept its foot on the gas pedal in a third straight two-a-day traning session held behind closed doors on Wednesday morning at the Meralco gym.

The same 13 players who attended practice on Tuesday morning showed up for Day Five of training camp with Jayson Castro, June Mar Fajardo, Calvin Abueva, Troy Rosario, Allein Maliksi, Gabe Norwood, Matthew Wright, and Raymond Almazan the veterans leading the way.

Carl Cruz, Roger Pogoy, Mac Belo, Kevin Alas, and Kiefer Ravena completed the cast that underwent conditioning and lifted weights in the morning session.

    Terrence Romeo and Japeth Aguilar where nowhere in sight again, while other pool members Baser Amer, Kevin Ferrer, Mike Tolomia, and Von Pessumal have yet to show up.

    Meralco gym security staff were informed Gilas will take a break on Thursday after three straight days of two-a-day training sessions ahead of the start of the qualifiers for the 2019 Fiba World Cup.

    Gilas plays an away game against Japan on Nov. 24 and hosts Chinese-Taipei on Nov. 27.
