CALVIN Abueva was among five players absent from the national team's practice at the Meralco Gym on Tuesday.
Abueva sat out Tuesday's session less than a day after suffering a busted lip in Gilas' practice.
The Alaska forward was also reduced into a spectator in the Aces' practice early Tuesday at the Gatorade Hoops Cemter in Mandaluyong.
Arnold Van Opstal, Russel Escoto, Fonso Gotladera, and LA Revilla also sat out Tuesday's practice.
Meanwhile, reigning three-time PBA MVP June Mar Fajardo, Japeth Aguilar, Kevin Ferrer, and Bradwyn Guinto watched from the sidelines in street clothes. They were all excused from practice since they have PBA games to play the next day.
Still recovering from a knee surgery, Mac Belo contitnued to show his committment to the national team by showing up on Tuesday.
