GILAS Pilipinas practiced on Tuesday night for the first time since coach Yeng Guiao named the final 12 for the 2019 Fiba Basketball World Cup in China.
The Nationals returned to work at the Meralco Gym after an off day on Monday following the announcement of the roster for the Fiba World Cup on Sunday night.
Andray Blatche, June Mar Fajardo, Japeth Aguilar, Raymond Almazan, Gabe Norwood, Troy Rosario, RR Pogoy, Mark Barroca, Paul Lee, Kiefer Ravena, CJ Perez, and Robert Bolick were all present on Tuesday to resume their preparations before heading to Foshan, China for the competition.
Despite missing the cut, Beau Belga also made himself available in practice by suiting up, and joining the shootaround, while Poy Erram was also present only to observe as he is nursing an injury.
Gilas was coming off two scrimmages where they split their matches against the Adelaide 36ers over the weekend, their final tune-up before heading to China on Thursday.
Gilas is now in its final stretch of preparations before plunging into action against Italy on Saturday to start off their campaign in the Fiba World Cup.
