DANILO Galinari of the Los Angeles Clippers has been included by Italy in its pool for the 2019 Fiba Basketball World Cup.
In a report by Fiba.com, Italy head coach Meo Sachetti has named a 24-man pool for the World Cup that includes Galinari, fellow NBA player Marco Belinelli, and Texas Tech's Davide Moretti.
Belinelli was one of the first Italian NBA players to commit to join the team in the World Cup where they will be up against Gilas Pilipinas, Serbia and Angola in Group D.
Other Italy players in the pool are Amadeo Della Valle, Luigi Datome, Nicolo Melli, Awudu Abass, and Luca Vitalli, part of the team during the World Cup qualifiers.
Della Valle was Italy's leading scorer during the World Cup qualifiers, averaging 17.8 points per outing. He also had a total of 28 threes including an 8 of 11 outing against Poland in the second round.
