THE Gilas Pilipinas cadets capped off their preparation for the 2016 Seaba Cup with a 93-82 win over Tanduay in a tune-up game on Thursday night at the Meralco Gym.

It was the Gilas cadets' second win out of their three tune-up games before they leave for Bangkok on Friday for the Seaba Cup.

Despite preparing for only three weeks, the wards of head coach Nash Racela looked in top form especially late in the game with Troy Rosario leading the charge.

Smiles were all around for the Gilas cadet squad after the game with team management giving a cake to Ken Holmqvist who was celebrating his birthday on Thursday.

Rosario also won cash in a halfcourt shooting contest among members of the squad after the tune-up match.

Gilas coach Tab Baldwin also offered words of encouragement for the squad, urging the players to play their best and brace for an improved quality of play from other Southeast Asian teams.
