Team USA advances to Fiba U18 Americas semifinals with 77-point rout of Ecuador

FIL-AM Kamaka Hepa came up with his best output of the tournament with eight points and six rebounds as Team USA clobbered Ecuador, 132-55, in the quarterfinals of the Fiba Under 18 Americas Championship on Thursday in Saint Catharines, Ontario (Friday, Manila time).

Hepa went 4 for 9 in 17 minutes of action for the US, which takes on Argentina in the semifinals.

Argentina defeated the Dominican Republic, 87-70.

    Trayce Davis led the US with 20 points and 11 rebounds, while Alec White and Matthew Hurt had 19 points apiece.

    Mark Watts scored 15, Cole Anthony added 12, while Jeremiah Robinson had 11 points.

    Brandon Valles and Aaron Capurro had 19 points each for Ecuador.

    Canada and Puerto Rico battle in the other semifinal.

    Canada routed Panama, 105-39, while Puerto Rico edged Chile 68-65.
