FIL-American Jalen Green scored 15 to lead the US to a 97-40 win over Mali in the Fiba Under-17 Basketball World Cup on Sunday in Argentina (Monday, Manila time).
De’Vion Harmon, Romeo Jajuan Weems and Evan Mobley each had 12 points, while two others scored in double figures for Team USA.
Green had 11 points in 19 minutes in the United States’ 115-37 thrashing of China in Group B play.
The Americans are tied with Serbia for the lead in Group B heading into their match-up on Wednesday.
Croatia beat Argentina, 74-55, to tie France for the lead in Group D with a 2-0 card.
Matej Rudan contributed 24 points for Croatia, which beat the Philippines on Sunday.
Argentina will next face fellow winless team Batang Gilas on Wednesday with the winner taking third place in Group D.
