THE Food and Drug Administration has ordered a review of all pre-workout supplements and energy drinks in the market following the Fiba suspension of Philippine national player Kiefer Ravena.

FDA is mandated by RA 9711 or the Food and Drug Administration Act of 2009 to ensure the safety, efficacy, purity, and quality of food products, medicines, cosmetics and medical devices.

Ravena was handed an 18-month suspension after testing positive for three prohibited substances that he claims were part of an over-the-counter pre-workout drink.
