DWIGHT Ramos assured he’s alright and his calf injury is really nothing to worry about.
“I’m alright. Just came back from injury that’s why I had to take it slowly,” he told SPIN.ph while the entire Gilas Pilipinas team was on its way out of the Mall of Asia Arena on Sunday night following its 93-54 win over Hong Kong.

The 26-year-old fan favorite was in uniform for Gilas’ final game in the second window of the FIBA Asia Cup qualifiers, but didn’t see action as a precautionary measure taken by coach Tim Cone.
Ramos is leaving for Japan on Monday to resume playing for the Levanga Hokkaido in the B League.

“I played a lot against New Zealand, and then I got to play this weekend two games (B League), so it’s been a lot,” he said.
“But I will be alright.”
Nonetheless, he’s grateful to Filipino basketball fans who repeatedly chanted ‘We want Dwight, We want Dwight,’ in the hope that Cone would change of mind and field him in.
“Yes, of course,” he said about hearing the love rained on him by majority of the 11,086 crowd at the MoA.
“And there I got one more,” Ramos added, pointing out to another Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) personnel who’s also yelling the same chant.
