IT looks like Justin Brownlee is already fit to join the preparations of Gilas Pilipinas for the start of the FIBA Basketball World Cup Asian Qualifiers.
Head coach Tim Cone on Thursday said that Brownlee could be arriving sooner rather than later, as Gilas is about to go start their build-up for Window 1 of the qualifiers.
“We’re expecting Justin to arrive in the next couple of days,” said Cone.

Brownlee has been hounded with health issues over the past few weeks, as a case of pneumonia has grounded the Philippines' naturalized player from suiting up for Meralco in the EASL.
The assurance of Cone should be good news for Gilas, as they take on Guam on November 28 on the road then December 1 at the Blue Eagle Gym.
The Filipinos will soon prepare for the pair of games, with the PBA also stopping play after Sunday’s double-header to allow Cone and the league’s players to focus on the build-up.
Brownlee for Bolts?
Brownlee’s EASL stint is a different story, but once he joins the team, he may also get time to practice with the Bolts.

After Saturday’s game against the Macau in Cebu City, Meralco will have a return match against the Black Bears on December 6.
