CHRISTIAN Standhardinger has been cleared to play for Team Philippines in the 2018 Fiba 3x3 World Cup.
Gilas Pilipinas team manager Butch Antonio allayed fears on the Fil-German forward's status for the half court wars, baring that he has rejoined the squad's training on Thursday.
"Yes, he will be playing," he said. "Our lineup is intact. They had practice this afternoon and we’re good to go.”
Standhardinger has been dealing with a swollen left knee which has caused him to miss San Miguel's last two assignments in the 2018 PBA Commissioner's Cup.
Standhardinger teams up with GlobalPort slasher Stanley Pringle and TNT duo of Troy Rosario and Roger Pogoy in the three-on-three tourney beginning on Saturday at Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan.
The Philippines, seeded 19th in the men's competition is slotted in Group C with Canada, Russia, Brazil, and Mongolia.
