IF the opportunity presents itself, Chris McCullough would have no qualms being a naturalized player for the Philippines in the future.
The Beermen reinforcement doubled down on his earlier pronouncements of his interest to play for the national team.
"Hell yeah, I want to play, man," he said after helping San Miguel claim the 2019 PBA Commissioner's Cup crown with a 102-90 Game Six victory on Friday.
"If I get naturalized, I wanna play. If there's an opportunity for me, I'd like to play."
McCullough, 24, has suited up for the Brooklyn Nets and the Washington Wizards and is hoping to make it back to the NBA despite just being recently signed by Anyang KGC in the Korean Basketball League (KBL).
"Hopefully, I'll be back in the NBA next year," he shared.
If things don't fall into place, however, don't rule out McCullough making a PBA return next season.
"If not, I'll be back with SMB," he said.
For now, though, McCullough would like to savor this title - his first on a professional level.
And he'll celebrate it the only way he knows how - with his beloved Chickenjoy from Jollibee.
"I'll buy a lot. I'm gonna get that right now, to be honest. Two-piece extra gravy!," he exclaimed as he made his way out of the venue, now as a newly-crowned champion.
