CHINA defeated Lebanon, 80-71, on Friday night to set up a semifinal clash with the Philippines in the Fiba Under-16 Asian Championship in Foshan, China.
The Chinese cagers also made it to the Fiba Under-17 Basketball World Cup for reaching the semifinals of the Asian tournament.
Haoqin Sun had 23 points, while Boqiao Jiao had 19 points and 14 rebounds for China, who will face Batang Gilas in the semifinals on Saturday, 6 p.m.
Batang Gilas advanced to the semifinals after beating Japan, 72-70, with RC Calimag scoring the game-winner.
Batang Gilas also advanced to the Fiba Under-17 Basketball World Cup for advancing to the semifinals of the Asian tilt.
