Wu Zebin and Guo Jiwang led the way as the Chinese grabbed a 19-12 lead with 3:47 remaining.
The Philippines cut the lead down to three, 20-17 with a Kevin Quiambao floater.
Unfortunately, Abadiano was inadvertently elbowed at the 1:56 mark and was left bloodied with a huge cut on his forehead.
Wu ended the match with 1:44 to spare.
Terrence Fortea led the Gilas with nine points as Gerry Abadiano scored seven.
Wu paced China with 10 markers.
