NBA player Zhou Qi had 22 points while Wang Zhelin had 18 points for the Chinese, who will be looking to wrest the gold medal they lost to Korea back in 2014.
The match is at 6:30 p.m. (7:30 p.m. Manila time) on Saturday at the GBK Istora..
China pulled away for good with by outscoring the Taiwanese, 31-12, in the third quarter. The Chinese cagers entered the fourth with a 68-42 lead.
Chinese Taipei will face Korea for the bronze on Saturday, 12:30 p.m. (1:30 p.m. Jakarta time) at the GBK Istora.
