AUSTRALIA routed Guam, 124-52, on Friday in Perth ahead of its game against Gilas Pilipinas in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 Asian Qualifiers.
The Boomers led from start to finish with the 72-point victory being the biggest lead of the contest to improve their win-loss record to 5-0 in their penultimate game of the first round in Group A.

Australia finishes the first round on Monday against Gilas Pilipinas, which was coming off a stinging 106-102 double overtime defeat against New Zealand.
Tyrese Proctor led the Boomers with 22 points, and Angus Glover had 19 points with the two combining for 11 three-point baskets in the game.

Reigning National Basketball League-Australia MVP Bryce Cotton debuted for the Boomers and had 18 points and five assists.
Guam’s Jericho Cruz was held scoreless in 24 minutes, committing six turnovers in the defeat.
