BEN Mbala continued his impressive play for Cameroon in the Fiba AfroBasket after leading a 96-54 win over Guinea on Saturday in Tunisia.
The La Salle star led Cameroon in scoring again, but in a winning effort this time around, with a game-high 24 points on 8-of-13 shooting. The starting forward also grabbed a team-best six rebounds and swiped four steals as Cameroon stayed alive for a top-two spot in Group C to advance to the playoffs.
The 6-foot-7 Mbala also kept firing from beyond the arc, hoisting five attempts but making just one, a day after making 2-of-4 from deep in a loss to host Tunisia.
